it all starts with a seed

Come See Us!

The original Weissinger farm was settled by sharecroppers in the early 1800's just miles outside of the Antebellum town of Old Cahawaba (Alabama's 1st capitol) . Starting with cattle and row crops our family farm has evolved with the ages helping bring innovation to agriculture in the black-belt region of Alabama.

For years aquaculture has been our forte and with the help of entities such as Auburn University and the Alabama Cooperative Extension Services our farm has been able to drive the industry towards a more sustainable future.

Through methods ranging from conventional pond culture to intensive recirculating systems, we are able to produce live food fish for markets as far west as Little Rock, AR. and as far north as Chicago, IL..

With the Introduction of our greenhouse facility Weissinger Lakes is now producing the freshest tastiest local produce available across the state.
